...Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.
- Ephesians 5:25-27 (NLT)
WHO WE ARE
Kingsridge Baptist Church is a multi-ethnic church loving the people of the Logan City region. We are committed to KNOWing God intimately, to GROWing as His Disciples faithfully, to SHOWing His Love with compassion, and SOWing the Good News of Jesus Christ with love.
TO KNOW GOD means that we will be committed to personal and corporate worship, prayer and the study of the Bible and to being filled and led by the Holy Spirit. We will encourage one another in these things.
TO GROW AS HIS DISCIPLES means that, as well as seeking to know Him better, we will each seek to follow Him more closely. As a church we will be committed to providing the training and resources necessary to enable each of us to progress from new believers to mature followers of Jesus able to train others. To this end, we will seek to discover and use the spiritual gifts God has given us and to be accountable to one another as we teach, encourage and train others.
TO SHOW HIS LOVE means that we will strive to be a loving and caring family who accept, forgive and serve one another, providing friendship, encouragement and help at all times and especially in times of need. We will also seek to identify needs in our community and develop programs and projects that demonstrate Christ-like concern for people's physical, emotional and spiritual well being.
TO SOW THE GOOD NEWS means that we will share the gospel of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible. We view this as the responsibility of all believers and as a church will seek to equip, train and send out workers into both our local community and the wider world, supporting them prayerfully and financially and in other ways as they have need. Locally, we will seek to build bridges with unbelievers through authentic friendship and service and to be creative in finding credible and appropriate ways to present the gospel. We will provide evangelistic opportunities in our church services and programs. We will seek to remain informed regarding world missions. We will have faith that God will bring a harvest.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Romans 6:26 (NLT)
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments.
The existence of One God in three persons- the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The Deity, incarnation and virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God, the Second Person in the Holy Trinity.
The fallen, sinful and lost condition of all people.
The salvation of people from the penalty and power of sin through the perfect obedience of the Lord Jesus Christ, His atoning death, His resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His unchanging Priesthood.
The immediate work of the Holy Spirit in the regeneration of people, in their sanctification, and in their preservation to the Heavenly Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the chief Comforter of the believer.
The necessity, in order to obtain salvation, of repentance towards God, and of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The resurrection of the dead, and the final judgement of all people by the Lord Jesus Christ.
The two divine ordinances of the Lord Jesus Christ - namely Baptism and the Lord's Supper - which are of perpetual obligation; baptism being the immersion of believers upon the profession of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and a symbol of the fellowship of the regenerate in His death, burial and resurrection; the Lord's Supper being a memorial, until He comes, of the sacrifice of the body and the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
